How do you bridge the gap between healthcare demand and access?
As a PA, I’ve been privileged to serve humanity through medicine for the past 30 years. 🙏🏼
Launched in 1969, MEDEX Northwest was the second PA program in the U.S., focusing on bridging the gap between healthcare demand and access (physician shortage). Since its early days, our profession has been a healthcare force - improving medical care and access in the U.S. and beyond.
For me, my current focus is the same as when I became a PA (graduating from Medex NW in 1993) - serving humanity through medicine. This focus has led me to practice in U.S. underserved communities and populations and to volunteer worldwide in areas of medical insecurity and disaster.
As we celebrate National PA Week, I am reflecting on my 30-year career in medicine. Good and Bad Memories.
